📋 What you will do

  • Bridge executive vision and day-to-day operations across internal and external communications
  • Translate complex issues into simple and accurate communication materials
  • Write, edit, and oversee content for newsletters, SharePoint, Town Halls, FAQs, scripts, and presentations
  • Support change management strategy, engagement, and executive leadership engagement
  • Track, analyze, and report communication metrics for engagement, traffic, and coverage
  • Set up feedback loops, focus groups, suggestion boxes, and pulse surveys to assess employee sentiment

What we expect

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 8 total years of experience
  • 7+ years of communications experience in the federal space
  • Experience with the VA/VHA Finance community
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with quick turnaround times
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Teamwork, organization, and leadership skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior management and clients
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines

🎁 What we offer

  • Full-time remote work
  • Occasional ad hoc onsite work in DC may be required in the future
  • Candidates local to the DC Metro Area are strongly preferred
  • 3-month contract with hope for extension or additional work
